Too Faced Peaches and Cream Collection: Yes, No, Maybe So?

I’m a huge fan of the too face sweet peach eyeshadow palette and the sweet peach peach oil lip glosses so when I heard about the new peaches and cream collection, I knew I had to test it out. I got almost everything from the collection except for the bronzers (they looked way too dark for me) and the lipsticks (honestly none of the shades really stood out to me). I LOVE that the face products in this collection are designed for oily skin and to have a more matte finish instead of many products that have launched lately which have been more tailored to a more dewy/glowy look. I have very oily skin and dewy/glowy looks don’t work out too well for me so I was very excited to try out these mattifying products. One of the best parts about this collection to me is that everything has that peachy scent that the sweet peach eyeshadow palette has but isn’t overpowering at all. This is going to be a very long post but I did enjoy so many of these products! Overall, I do love this collection and there are many products that I can see myself using for a long time to come. All of these products are available from Sephora.
Primer
This primer is amazing. It has a peachy-tint to it which honestly looked a little scary at first but I couldn’t notice it on my skin. This made my skin instantly matte without drying it out at all. My skin felt hydrated but matte. I tried this with a few different foundations and it really helped to keep my face matte all day with all of them. This worked so much better than I thought it would to be honest. It has the same kind of tube as the Too Faced Hangover RX Primer which I really enjoy. I cannot recommend this primer enough for oily skin. CAD $40

Foundation
I was honestly not expecting to like this foundation at all, but I love it. Similar to the primer, it keeps my face matte without drying it out. It also lasts a lot longer than most foundations I’ve tried and I only have to touch it up a couple of times throughout the day. I found that it blends amazingly (I’ve been mostly using my Morphe Y6 Brush to apply it) and has a very buildable to full coverage. My skin doesn’t look cakey at all with it, instead it looks very natural while also giving me an even and full coverage. I’m not sure what this foundation would be like for dry skin, but I highly recommend it for oily skin. The shade range is great for fair skin tones, but unfortunately doesn’t have much for medium-dark skin tones. CAD $45

Loose Power
This powder sets my makeup beautifully. I haven’t tried it for baking yet, but so far I love to use it to set my whole face. It is very light and doesn’t alter the look of my makeup at all, but also helps it to last longer and prevent my skin getting oily throughout the day. The powder itself isn’t exactly translucent, it has a bit of a peachy tint to it, but I find that helps the powder to not give me a ghostly appearance if I accidentally apply too much. You also get a ton of product in the tub which really makes it worth the money. The peach scent of it is also not overpowering at all and I find it wears off pretty quickly. The packaging of this is amazing (it’s the same as the Too Faced Born This Way Ethereal Setting Powder), it has a cap that goes over the holes where the product comes out so that you don’t waste any product or have it fly everywhere when you take the lid off. Translucent Blurring Pressed Powder
This powder did help to blur my pores but I honestly wasn’t blown away buy it. I tried using it all over my face and also in only the areas where I have larger pores that really need some help to be blurred out. I’m not sure if it was meant to keep my face matte, but it did definitely help with that throughout the day around my nose. It did help to blur my pores and give my skin a great finish, but it didn’t “wow” me very much and there are plenty of other products out there that do something similar and are cheaper. If you want to spend the money on a product like this, then it would be worth it but you can honestly get something similar for cheaper. CAD $38

Blush

These blushes are amazing. I bought two of them (Peach Dream and So Peachy) and I have not used any other blush since I got them. They have a creamy-powder texture and it lasts all day on my skin. The shades are very blendable and easy to build up to a more intense colour. I will honestly likely end up buying more of these blushes. The shades will work for so many skin tones and are great for everyday or for a bit more of a dramatic blush look. They are easy to apply with fingers or with a stippling brush. They blend like a dream and I cannot recommend them enough. CAD $38

Highlight
At first, I wasn’t a fan of this highlight, but the more I used it, the more I liked it. Same as the blushes in this collection, it has a creamier texture. Even though it is creamier, it doesn’t mess up any foundation, concealer, or powder I apply it over. It isn’t a very intense highlighter, but I love the way it looks on my skin for more natural highlight days. As much as I love an intense highlight, that doesn’t really work for everyday wear. I’m not sure if this highlight is worth the price since the shade is such a common one that you can easily find cheaper ones that look the exact same on the skin. I’m not sure how this highlight would work on darker skin tones, but it works perfectly for light and probably medium skin tones. I find that with this highlight, you do have to really build it up in order to get the colour payoff that will actually show up and look like highlight on the skin. However, having to build it up does make it worth it since it lasts all day and doesn’t wear off at all. If you’re willing to spend a bit more on a highlight, then this one would be worth it. I wouldn’t say you need to run out right now and go buy it, but it’s still pretty good. CAD $38

Eye Shadow Palette

This palette is great for everyday, more natural looks. Not all shades in the palette are completely matte, some (like Peach Sangria) have more shimmer to them, but overall it is
a mostly matte palette. I love it for everyday looks and I’ve been using it most days since I bought it. Sometimes I find I need to use a more shimmery shade from another palette/another shadow to brighten up the look a little bit I still love this palette. I don’t like it as much as the Sweet Peach Palette (but that is one of my all time favourite palettes), but it is definitely going to be one of my top everyday palettes going into fall. The shades are perfect for year-round looks, especially summer and fall. The shades work for my very fair skin tone and they would work on all skin tones as well. You get 12 shades in this palette, but it is very small/compact and would be great for travelling. I would highly recommend getting this palette while you can. CAD $55

Setting Spray
This setting spray is amazing for oily skin! It helped to make my makeup last without destroying it or getting oily right away (which annoyingly can happen with some setting sprays I’ve tried). It has a very fine mist that gets all over my face without feeling like I’m soaking my face in water. As with everything else in this collection, it does have a slight peachy scent but it doesn’t last long and wears off pretty quickly. It feels very refreshing on the skin and I love it to both set my makeup and for a little pick-me-up after a few hours of wear. I’ve tried so many different setting sprays and this one has quickly become one of my faves. CAD $40
